What we do

How it works

People living in Horley and the local area can access the Food  Bank by referral from local agencies who will issue a voucher. Once the voucher is presented the client  receives essential items depending on the number of
people in their family.

Churches for Horley Food Bank is a non-profit making organisation run by volunteers and relies entirely on donations of food and money from local schools, churches, businesses, organisations and individuals and every single item or penny given makes a difference.

Run by the community for the community...

Opening hours

We offer free emergency food and basic toiletries to those in crisis and will help them as part of a package of support being offered by local agencies such as CAB, probation services, children’s centres, health visitors, doctors’ surgeries, social services, housing trusts, the police and local schools. Whatever your situation, we offer a warm welcome, sign posting and a listening ear.

Food parcels can be picked up from our base at Horley Methodist Church during two sessions per week:

Wednesday - 12.30 to 2.30pm

Friday - 2.00 to 4.00pm

Clients can receive a food parcel on three occasions over a rolling two month period.
