How Does It Work?

To use the food bank you must have a referral…

For Clients:

We accept referrals from a range of agencies including (but not exclusively) Citizens Advice, probation service, children’s centres, health visitors, doctors’ surgeries, social services, housing trusts, the police, local schools etc. In the first instance you should contact one of these to ask for a referral. We do not accept self-referrals.

A referral, once accepted, is for 8 weeks. We will only issue one parcel a week during a referral period. A food parcel contains food dry and nonperishable goods. We also provide, when available, a small amount of fresh fruit/veg, eggs, toiletries and nappies.

For Referrers

Please email all referrals to horleyfoodbank@gmail.com giving us the clients name and postcode, number of adults and children in the family and any special dietary requirements.

We do not provide food to those living in hotels where food is provided.
